Tactile Picture Book Design for Visually Impaired Children

1st Prize in Engineering, 38th Shanghai Youth Science & Technology Innovation Competition 2 Special Awards

Keywords:
Tactile Picture Book
Synesthetic Effects
Easy Object Finding
Speech Recognition
Slider-based Book Interaction
Project Description: In the absence of visual information, the perception of visually impaired children tends to be fragmented, and their limited life experience further leads to a vague understanding of the outside world. To break down the barriers between senses and enhance multisensory integration, this project designs a tactile picture book based on synesthetic effects. Test results show that the device effectively helps visually impaired children recognize objects more quickly, deepen their impressions, and improve learning efficiency.
Speech recognition positioning bookshelf

The 38th Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition won two first prizes and two special awards in engineering

Keywords:
Convenient search
Speech recognition
Sliding rod push book
Project Introduction: Whenever we go to the library to borrow books, we often encounter difficulties in finding books. I want to design and create a fully automatic speech recognition and precise positioning bookshelf. It can use a speech recognition module, slide rail structure, and servo to push out the required books, and at the same time, RGB lights will light up for positioning prompts. This will enable efficient book searching. The intelligent bookshelf combines practicality and economy, with a simple and efficient functional implementation structure. It can be renovated on existing library bookshelves, improving the efficiency of book searching
Self checking reminder system for shared bicycles

The 38th Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition won 3 second prizes and special awards in engineering

Keywords:
Shared bike damaged
Self test
Accelerometer
Project Introduction: When driving a shared bike during rush hour in the morning and evening, there is always a problem with the bike without any warning, which is a waste of time and delays the journey for commuters such as students and office workers. In response to this issue, this project has designed and developed a low-cost shared bicycle self checking reminder system to solve the problem of commuters being unable to clearly check whether their bicycles are functional. This project is based on solutions such as acceleration sensors, potentiometers, IoT modules, and LED strips. It can detect common parts such as brakes, handlebars, and chains and upload them to the Internet of Things, as well as provide reminders for damaged vehicles. Through experiments, all functions have met expectations, greatly reducing the time cost for users looking for cars
Knee joint rehabilitation evaluation system

First Prize in Engineering at the 37th Zhejiang Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition

Keywords:
Knee joint rehabilitation
Multidimensional data fusion
Vector monitoring
I found that the process of knee joint function examination is very complicated while accompanying my family to the hospital to check the rehabilitation effect of knee arthritis. Based on this, this project designs and implements a detection device that can partially replace hospital doctors in diagnosing knee joint health status, making it convenient for patients to use. Referring to the traditional diagnostic methods and experimental methods for knee joint function in general hospitals, we innovatively use a series of sensors such as encoders, microphones, infrared thermometers, and mechanical structures to measure patients' knee joint function from multiple dimensions. Through experiments, the device is reliable and effective, and can help users clearly obtain relevant data and health status of their knee joints
